A Son Is Born

I will warn you this is long but PLEASE read the whole thing!!!

Christmas is in 3 days!!! Can you believe it?!? Everyone is finishing up their christmas shopping and getting ready to host their family at their house for the holidays. We are rushing around trying to finish all the DIY projects that I took on to make presents for friends and family and also trying to wrap all the stacked up presents in my closet( don't act like you don't have that too)! Okay, but Christmas isn't all about the presents, the food, and lights, it's about the joy and peace on earth that Christ brings! Christ he came down from heaven as a human baby to the virgin Mary, was born in a barn, and then died on the cross for our sake. I am just going to put parts of the story of Jesus's birth but I encourage you to go and read the story!

Luke 2:1-5: " In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor in Syria.) And everyone went back to their own town to register. So Joseph went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. "

Matt. 1: 18-21: "This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not to expose her to the public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, 'Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you will give him the name Jesus, because He will save his people from their sins.' "

Matt. 1:23 " 'The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel (which means "God with us"). "

Luke 2: 6-7 " While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in clothes placed him in a manger, because there were no guest rooms available for them. "

Luke 1:8-12 " And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby keeping watch over their flocks at night. Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angels said to them, "Do not be afraid . I bring you good news of great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in clothes and lying in a manger."

Luke 2:13-14 " Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
