V. 2 My brother and sisters, you will face all kinds of trouble. When you do, think of it as pure joy.

What? Pure joy? How do count trouble as pure joy? To be honest, I have no idea. When your in trouble your in trouble. When you have joy, you have joy. Opposites! As hard as it to be joyful in hard times, wisdom and good knowledge come from experience. And being in trouble one time in your life is going to bring you joy another time in your life.

V. 3 Your faith will be put to the test. You know that when that happens it will produce in you the strength to continue.

When you get an "A" on a test or a raise at your job?!? This gives you strength and this gives you encouragement to push on.

V. 4 The strength to keep going must be allowed to finish its work. Then you will be all you should be. You will have everything you need.

Wisdom takes time. Wisdom takes experience. Strength takes time.
