Encourage Others

• 1 Thessalonians 5:8-11

V. 8-9 But we belong to the day. So let us control ourselves. Let us put on the armor of faith and love on our chest. Let us put on the hope of salvation like a helmet. God didn't choose us to receive his anger. He chose us to receive salvation because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done.

Jesus Christ came for us, not out of anger, but out of love! He loves us so much he gave up his perfect life for each one of us.

V. 10-11 Jesus dies for us. Some will be alive when he comes. Others will be dead. Either way, we will live together with him. So cheer each other up with the hope you have. Build each other up.

The bible calls us to build each other up, to encourage one another.

Later on in the chapter, Paul writes about living in peace with one another and having respect for everyone.
